I took my silencer ring out of my pro-52 and it completely quite barking, big bonus,I havent tried it towing to see if removing it helped with the low rpm surging. My question is can removing the silencer ring effect performance or peak boost numbers? My boost is down a few pounds but I have done a few other changes at the same time so i am not sure if this would be the cause or not. My 1/4 mile time is also down a little.

i don't think it effects performance, but i barked my turbo once with the ring in [less than 1 hour after taking delievery] and once the ring was out, i have only barked it like 2x more and that was with WOT in 3rd and full on the brakes checking something out and letting off the throttle agressively... so i think it can help eleminate most barking

jwilliams, never dynoed yet and all i have to go by is my g-tech. But it shows steady 12. 97 to 13. 20 this was about 15 different runs done about 5 weeks ago. A couple days ago best i could get was13. 3 to 13. 5 at less boost as well. I think it had alot to do with temp that day as it was +20 celcius as compared to 10c 5 weeks earlier. It got cool today and i made 54 pounds boost ,this is the most i have ever seen. 12. 97 was with stock intake and exhaust as well.
