This question is for anyone who has installed either a FASS or Airdog system. Have any of you had issues with trouble codes appearing after disconnecting the factory in-tank lift pump or do these systems use the factory lift pump wiring to prevent such an issue?

Have an Airdog 100 on my '05. Airdog unit used the factory wiring, and have never had any codes due to using it. I used the Jeep Liberty canister to remove the in tank lift pump completely.

As far as I know, these aftermarket systems use the same electrical plug as the oem. My Airdog was simply unplug from oem and plug into the Airdog. Even though mine was the engine mounted fuel pump, both systems should be the same in that regard.

The system I am most interested in is the Airdog II DF-165. Does anyone have an instructional manual for this system?

Year and a half on mine (AirDog)... no codes, pump isn't very noisy.

Took me half a day to put mine in, but I was crawling around on the ground and had never messed with any fuel system before (and it was a day off, so I was enjoying adult beverages) :)

I hear you on the "adult beverages"! There are always a few around while working on my truck. :-laf

Do you have the original Airdog or version 2? I am keen to know how difficult it is to upgrade the in-tank module with the Airdog II.

on the 09 which is what I have, I am not going to do anything to the motor for warranty. . is the stock in-tank pump OK or not? . . If I was to install a FASS or Airdog, would that void warranty?

I have the FASS 95/95 and have encountered no codes or problems. I have an annoying hissing sound from somewhere in the pump area. Sort of like when you have a little air in you garden hose at home. However, I have no leaks and the pressure from the pump runs at a steady 18PSI on my Isspro gauge. Go figure. One of life's little mysteries... .

Air dog install

I just put an air dog 100 on my 04. 5 LBCC I didnt have to drop the tank. But for the actual install of lines cant see as it would be any different . Used filter/water separator removal kit from GD made the install look real clean IMO. Started at 7am done by noon watching for leaks listening to it Idle having a barley pop and hot dog. If you have any questions I called the tech at air dog they were great After the install truck seem to have ALOT smoother idle and ran better dont know if it was all in my head (not much else in there)or if my stock pump was just that bad. I went to Banff National park sence install and I know it pulled the hills better. As for codes just the one when the factory pump went out with the ck. eng lite after install the ck eng lite went out on its own had to remove the code 0628 with OBDII scanner good luck on install BIG

Thanks BIGNASTY! What is a "filter/water separator removal kit"?

Your good if not upping the hp on your truck. As for the warranty being voided from one of these (Airdog/FASS/Raptor), it shouldn't.

Chrysler/Dodge released these for upgrades and you may want to call your dealer for a price/replacement.
