Question about the headlights.

Are the new ellipsoid "bi-function" headlights HID or halogen? I have this fetish about lights, having had a 2nd Gen and now a 3rd Gen truck. In both cases I've upgraded the stock lights since they were so miserable. How are the new ones. I'm lusting after a 2014, even though my '03 is still perfect

They are Halogen, big improvement for me, but I came from a 2nd gen.

I believe there are two available. The "bi-halogen projectors" which are the higher end option, and then the standard halogen reflector housings.

Didn't seem too awful. If you buy quality bulbs, you shouldn't have to replace them often. If one had the Genos quick release grill kit, it would be even easier.

So much for changing the light bulbs on the side of the road like you could on the older 1994-2002 trucks
