About a week ago I ordered the 03 track bar retro fit kit from Windecker Machine LTD. I asked them this same question by E-mail with no responce. I have a Fisher plow frame on the truck and it looks like the bottom leg of the new brace will interfear with the plow frame by the looks of the pictures I'v seen. Question is, what if I cut that bottom ear off the brace and just stick weld 1" beads around that part of the brace? If this sounds right, will just disconecting the batteries safe guard the trucks electronics? or should I unplug the ECM to?

Thanks

Definately disconnect the batterys, then try to get access to a mig. /wire welder becouse it does not heat up the the base/frame as much , and thats something you also do'nt want to do becouse you can afect the temper and strength of the parts . that also may be why they are not responding becouse the lawyers and engineers tell everybody not to weld or drill in to the frame.
