I just received my miller timing kit and am about to set the timing to 16 deg. I have a copy of the Diesel Engine Timing page from Dave Fritz' web page. It states 6. 2mm plunger lift at 15 deg. Can I extrapolate the numbers to give 6. 4mm lift at 16 deg, or am I off base with my thinking?

Don, according to my Bosch book CPL #'s 2023 & 2175 1996 215hp motors should be set at 5. 6mm lift for 16 degrees advance. The old 160hp auto's had a higher lift for less advance 6. 2mm = 15 degrees & that was only certain ones. for example CPL # 1968 another 160hp model is 4. 7mm = 15 degrees. Call or e-mail me if you have any questions.
