moral question...must read

my dad recently passed away, and i had the honor of receiving his burial flag. id like to find a triangular shaped frame for it. is there something like this available? i know that i can have one made, but i was hoping that each branch of service had something like i was looking for. thanks

Packman

Sorry to hear about your dad! I don't know what the company name is off hand but I will look, what you could do is get his ribbons that he erned then with the flag make a shadow box with them and the flag like we would get at retirement, that would be way cool. I recently went to a funeral with honors and recieving the flag is way powerful but nice too. I'll make a note and see what I can find for you.

There's a special place in Heaven for soldiers/sailors, etc. , even with the various flaws that make them who they are, I'm quite sure. May he enjoy the company he finds there. ===rm

Sorry for your loss.

If it was not for our service men and women we would not have the freedoms we enjoy today. God bless each and every one of them.

lets see dad was ww2 army aircorps. after three of his buddies from high school enlisted, and died , he left college and enlisted . when the army saw that he was a very bright guy, he was sent to specialized training at rutgers ny. not bad for a tennessee plowboy. he went on to get a phd in biochemistry, and a masters in education. he was the smartest man that ive ever known. even though i was raised like a recruit, in bootcamp, i finally realize why he was so tough on me and appreciate it. its funny that what my wife and i have been looking for as far as a fitting frame for his flag, that it would come from what she calls my "turbo buddies". my old man always loved his country, but hated the politicians that ran it. i think that the events of the last few weeks just kind of wore him down. but he fought the good fight , right until the end, and would be very disappointed if we as a country dont do the same. these colors never run. thanks dad.

Packman, sorry to hear of your loss, sounds like your Dad was a hell of a good man. I too am a vet. and love this country dearly, and it saddens me to hear when one of us passes. chuck.
