Question for Power Pup Owners

I value your opinion. I was given a pup to try over the weekend. So far I only tried the performance setting. Yee Ha. I’m a little worried about the transmission so I don’t think I'll try the extreme setting.

My question is what setting do you leave it in for daily driving?

My second question is, if you already have gauges, other than shift on the fly what benefits are there with the outlook monitor?

For my last question does the outlook connect under the hood or in the cab?

I usually run the performance mode, unless I'm in a smoke contest with someone, or need to teach some rice burner a lesson :-laf But personally I wouldn't run the extreme setting except for situations where you will need it, because I really don't think the factory turbo can take very much of that setting.

My 03 so had it on the extreme setting for 25000 miles and no problems with the turbo(except when I turned off the egt limiter on the tst at the track one night)The trans held fine till 31000 then the converter went south.

For a second I got distracted by the smoke than I look back at the gauges, EGT's were 1500.



This unit is labeled just Power Pup for the 05 Dodge. Is it the same as the triple dog? If I buy it can I down load Crazy Larry? or should I order the triple dog?

hi,

the only differnces are that the triple dog will work on all three truck brands and can change power on the fly without a outlook monitor. power is the same on both and yes you can dowload the crazy larry for the pup... well that is if they ever get their sight back up so you can actually download it.

Hi,

You just simply leave the triple dog programer pluged in and it has a choice of changing programs on the fly. it kinda sucks having that big cable running across your feet but it does work.

pup with ez

any of you ever use the power pup with an ez? how bout an ez/pup with injectors? i'm getting a bigger turbo this fall so i'm not worried about the stocker going south! will the the transmission hold? i dont race just miss the power of my 99 dually! :{ ... ... james
