I recently installed a PM 3 Adjustable and receive a 'code' of 8. whenever I engage my e-brake. I tapped into the green wire with the black stripe for keyed on power, as per the TST instructions. I'm wondering if the toggle switch for the BD brake is tapped into the same line (I didn't install the BD brake). It does not affect the performance of the box and only appears for a spilt second, then the remote shows the setting I have the box on again. Anyone else seeing this ?

I think that's normal... mine is wired to the fuse panel, with a fuse jumper, it comes on when I turn the ignition on... and it displays that "8" before going to the number I last had it in. However, sometimes it'll go to level 2, right after the "8" goes out, particularly if I've changed levels within 20 minutes of shutting off the engine. Weird. Who cares. Gonna run the wheeeee out of it till something breaks, is my attitude, then fix it. I also get an engine stumble every once in a while. Wonder why it defuels like that. I haven't gotten any educated answers on THAT issue, so, like I said, I'm gonna run'er till she breaks. :D

Bigsaint,

Mine does that too,but only sometimes. I usually drive around with the PM3 turned off, then as I'm toggling my shift lever mounted e-brake switch,I'll notice the window on the PM remote flash whichever level I had it last set at. I have the PM and my e-brake running off two different circuts,so that doesn't seem to be what's causing it. Doesn't affect its performace at all.

I get the same thing when I engage my BD exhaust brake. It's resetting the PM3, watch it when you power up and you'll see the same thing. It hasn't caused me any problems at all so I just ignore it.
