I have an inclination to try and stick a turbo on my Kawasaki Mule. It has a 953cc, four stroke, 3 cyl, overhead valve diesel. Compression is almost 25:1. I was looking on ebay a while back and found a turbo and intercooler from an Eclipse that looked small enough to cram in there. Fabbing it up wouldn't be the problem. I'm concerned that the compression would be to high to even use a turbo or that tubo would be too much for this motor. I'm thinking the hardest part would be getting oil up to the turbo. I guess it would be more for the cool factor and "just because I can" than for actual benefit.
Anyone have some thoughts on this? I don't know much about turbos. Is there a compact diesel tractor out there that came with a turbo that I could adapt? I just think it would be cool to have a turbo diesel Mule.
Edit: Mods, can you move this to General diesel? I stuck it in the wrong spot.
