I installed my muffler in the tool shed... its still there... you can't hear the shed no matter how close you get... the truck you can hear and the turbo runs cooler. Suggest the same installation for you.
I got my new truck and the first week, off with the muffler and resonator. I live by a big city and every motorcycle in town has their baffles removed so I see where you live, I would get rid of the muffler. You will get a lot of people turning their heads to see where all the noise(music) is coming from. Be careful around your house as not to blow your own windows out. Take er easy.
Do you know whether removing the muffler has any impact on the warranty? I think it would only affect warranty items from the muffler (now removed) back to the tailpipe. I am just asking before I remove mine at a muffler shop and replace it with a straight pipe.
Believe you want the little baffles facing front, upstream, toward engine, ahead, with the closed side astern if it's Rip's fav Allied muffler. Could be wrong, but that's what he told my wife when he delivered
jmtandem I dont think it does,? I have a friend that told me he attends warranty seminars for a Dodge dealership and if they can reject a warranty they will try to. Daimler/Chrysler is getting real tight with the warranties. We are our own warranty station.
