Is the installation of the Turbo Air Glide a simple placement over the Turbo intake or is more involved?

How long does the installation take, any special tools?

For those of you who have a TAG what performance increases did you see? Any MPG increases when towing?? Is it worth getting?

I already have a K&N filter and modified the air box to allow more air, and am running an Edge EZ on level 3.

Thanks,

John T

It will actually install in the air inlet tube. There's a groove about 2" from the end of the inlet, which the TAG will slip into. When you re-install the inlet, push it onto the turbo good and tight, so the O-ring on the TAG seals against the turbo housing, then tighten the clamp. This is all covered in the instructions that come with the TAG.

It took me right around the 3 minute mark. It would have taken less, but I couldn't find my favorite hex driver :)

Well heck... . if Dean can do it... !! ;) Seriously... . tell us your impressions of the TAG Dean. Have you had a chance to tow with it or are you still buried under snow?

check out the thread titled "suprising result... . " I would recommend subscribing to the thread whether you are a TAG owner or not.

I wish I knew how to place links on replies!?!?!

Well I dont tow much but the TAG and AFE combo made an awesome acceleration difference in my SO. Other than those 2 I am completely stock. Just filled up first full tank since having them. I will post results when I get them.

:--) That hurt, Steve;) . The cover on my trailer has 5 or 6" of frozen snow/ice on it and I will take the cover off as soon as we get our January thaw:rolleyes: . I don't know how much of the performance improvement is in my mind, but I sure like the TAG so far.

Stephen,

The only evidence that I have seen that theTAG does anything is when I tow. When towing in N Ala and E Tenn some of the hills would pull the engine down, as the engine lost RPMs the boost would fall, now with the TAG as the RPMs drop the boost remains at 22 PSI. It does not drop off. I changed to Amsoil about the same time that I put the TAG in so I can't say wether or not the TAG has improved my mileage. SOP it is hard to tell much difference.

Not to change the subject - but I also switch to Amsoil about the same time. What kind of MPG change have you seen?

Hey draymorris links are easy, give it a try.

1. ) Open a second window of your internet browser.

2. ) Go to the page that you are trying to link to.

3. ) Copy the url from the address line at the top of the page. (Highlight it, right click and choose copy)

4. ) Go back to the page with your post on it in the other window.

5. ) Click on the button in your posting toolbar labled "http://"

6. ) When the window appears type whatever you want the text for your link to read and choose "OK".

7. ) Right click in the second window and choose paste. You're link address should show there now. Click "OK"

At this point you'll have a whole mess of gobbledygook in your post window but it will clear up when it's posted. Here's the link you wanted:

"Surprising result... "

Good luck!
