There shouldnt be any 'special' process for removing the pin. You should have to take out 1 snap ring, and the pin should slide out easily. If it doesnt then something is probably out of whack. All of that is assuming that there is nothing wrong with the piston of coarse. I just took a 94 apart with 300k on it and all the pins pushed right out with my fingers.
As far as the torque I cant tell you right off hand, maybe someone with a Shop manual in their lap may.
