Hey guys, what I need to know this time is is there any differance between 1st and 2nd gen transfer cases. We have a NP205 I believe. What does the second gen have?

Also is there any differance between a 2nd gen NV5600 and a 3rd gen 5600? I know this is not the 2nd and 3rd gen forum, but the question is not really postable in any other one forum, and since most in the 1st gen forum have researched them, I figgure you'all know the answers anyways.

Not sure about the transmission question, but the transfer case in the 2nd gen is a NP241HD, left hand drop.

Robert, the early 99 nv5600's had a 1 1/4" input shaft same as the nv4500 and the getrag. Finding one of those, you woulnd't have to change your clutch. The rest of the nv5600's up to current production, (that is until the last one rolled out of Mexico, they are no longer using the nv5600) are the same trans, with a 1 3/8" input shaft.

The t-case as Joe said, is different, more importantly is a driver side drop, as compared to our passenger side front output drop. Yes we have a np205. When you gonna get some readers rigs pics? I want to see that 90 with IC and grill pics.

NP241HD and MP205. O. K. Got it, thanks.
