Have been following all the Vibration issues in the threads for a few months.
Was wondering if there is the same issue with 68RFE Transmission with the same Vibrations?
Read todays link about issues with the 68RFE not wanting to go into gear right away after startup,
while sitting over night. I usually start my vehicles and let them settle in for a minute of two before,
putting it in drive. I've been doing this for years and never had problems with any of my vehicles.

The issues with the Aisisn seems to be a combination of Bad tires, some suggest the frames are too
rigid and some drive shaft issues, with re-flashes used to try to help solve the problem also used.
Hope fully in the end all will be solved in the future.

The reason. Planning to by a Fifth Wheel in the next few years and do not want to be sitting around for a month,
in some camp ground. While Dodge is still trying figure out what to do next to correct the vibration issues in
the Aisin transmission with my new Ram? Will probably order the tires i want to be on my Ram to begin with anyway.

I do not see problems in using the 68rfe Transmission like before which was used before the introduction of the
Aisin Tansmission last year, in the 3500.
Would like your views on this matter,

I'll address the 68RFE question. Since our dually is used almost exclusively to tow our 5th wheel (see signature), it routinely sits for weeks at a time without being started. I've never experienced the 68RFE drainback issue that's being discussed, and I know it well since I had a 1996 V-10/47RE dually that (like most/all of them) would drain the torque converter in as little as a week.

Good information to work with.
Thank you Rusty for your reply.

yeah my 06 model with the 48re will drain down overnight... has since new. Just a nuisance really.
The vibration issue on my truck is fixed. I have logged thousands of miles both loaded and unloaded since repairs were completed without issue. I WILL say the frame on this truck is RIDGID. I understand the difference between a ridgid frame being rough riding and I almost expect it to be. The vibration issue is/was something completely different.
Personally, I would go with the Aisin equipped truck. Theres just so much more truck with the Aisin and the availability of more torque on the bottom end and at low wheel/vehicle speed. If you have a vibration issue, it will be appearent during the test drive, make them fix it before you sign the papers.

Appreciate the information. Will see how everything goes with the Aisin. Will be sure to order good tires and change out the factory tires.

Same experiences as Rusty and Wingate. However I only have 11,000 on my '12 (see sig) but 10,000 are towing 14,000+ lbs. It can sit for up to a month and no issues. My 06 auto did the drain down but as Wingate said, it was just a nuisance and it didn't happen every time. Both trucks have been stone reliable.

My 2014 with the Aisin often sits for a couple of weeks. No drain back issues at all. Never had a dead pedal or a vibration either.
