Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Questions about Smarty????

I have been reading about the smarty and I have some questions. When the program is downloaded is it necessary to have the box still plugged in? Will it work with an ottomind? Does anyone have one that is close to Everett, Wa. I would like to use one to reprogram for my tire size.

You only plug the Smarty in when you download, unplug when done. The Smarty is VIN-locked, which pretty much means you have to own one if you want to run the program longer than your best friend can stand to be back to stock

AHHH! now I understand. I thought that did not make any sense, every one could just go together and buy one. Well will it work with the ottomind? If anyone has one that they would like to seperate with for cheap let me know.

Yes, it stacks well with an ottomind, banks onlly adds power through the pump wire on their kits as you can use the fueling and timing offered by the smarty. You WILL be happy
