No, 16" rims don't fit on a third gen truck. They will not clear the calipers on your disk brakes.

thats what i was thinking, and i was right, but found a better deal on some Dodge stockers anyway. thanks all.

what about some aluminum F550 wheels?

Somebody help me here, bbut I think they have the wrong bolt pattern (8 on ??? - its a metric number, that's all I can remember).

Or did they go back to a 10 bolt?

Shoot, now I can't remember!!!

I'm pretty sure they don't fit, though.

You are much better off with a Dodge rim anyway. The GM aluminum wheels are 16x6. 5" and do not support bigger tires very well. The Dodge aluminums are 17x8 and as mentioned, they are a bigger diameter to cover our larger brakes.

the GMrims on the newer trucks are actually a 16. 5

Where did you hear that? 16. 5" diameter rims are dinosaurs, nobody is using them on a current production vehicle that I am aware of. Tire selection would be extremely limited and when GM does exceed the 16" size you can bet they will follow Dodge and Ford with 17's or 18's.

16. 5's, had to be the worlds biggest joke! I had a Chevy years ago that had 'em, and the stupid tires would come off the rims when you were 'wheeling!
