Not to start a war, but advice on staying with my combination of stanadyne and lucas upper cyl lube mix or just go to wallyworld 2-cycle oil for my fuel additive? 130k miles and always added. Thanks Tim

Go to 2 Cycle oil... I don't think adding them causes any harm except adding to Bio diesel and -0 temps... I see it all the time in -0 temps the additives cause the bio to separate form the fuel, after that all you have is huge chucks of lard.

Thanks for the reply, here in Portland, we seldom get to 0 degress (thankfully), but since I put a ton of miles on my Passat diesel and some on my cummins, the 2 cycle oil lube has been intriguing me. My local Bosch dealer says to add anything I like to the fuel, just add something to help lube. Was worried about the effects of the solvent in the 2 cycle oil. Or maybe that was the old 2-cycle oil. Thanks again. Tim

That's old 2 cycled oil. With proper filtration and lube CR Injections system will last 300k plus. What i mean by proper filtrations is (NON certified internal combustion filter(s) on auxiliary tank or bypass filtering) The popular systems you read about on the NET filter better,But if you pump trash or water into your tank the (Internal certified filters will allow the contaminates to be pump right into the system) I get calls on customers that have install these popular filters & systems just to be let down and $2/4k in repairs.
