Quick question for those with fuel pressure gauges

When you start the truck up, does it take a few seconds for pressure to register on the gauge?

It does not on mine... . mine starts building a small amount of pressure as I'm waiting on the "wait to start" light to go off. Depending on the outside temperature and fuel viscosity, I usually average a little over 7. 5 psi at idle.

Min will hit about 8 psi while the wait to start light is on and then falls to zero until I start the truck than it goes to around 6. 5 psi @ idle.

Hmmm... interesting. Mine takes several seconds to register pressure. There are a number of possible reasons for this, including the fact that I have an auxilliary filter plumbed in between the stock canister and the CP-3. I'm trying to decide if I need to run the pump manually for a few seconds before startup (I have a manual pump switch).

pretty instant here with FASS.



I'm using 2 seperate FASS units for my SVO system. When swithing from one to the other the fuel pressure drop instantaneously but is back up before it hits zero. I'm using the stock lift pump power leads to power the relays for the FASS's. Diprocol fuel pressure guage.

no waiting ... but I have a 12 valve lift pump now no more eeeeeelectronic one for me

I figured out what was wrong. I just installed a new fuel system and I wasn't experienced enough with it to know how to properly set it. Now I get good pressure during the 2 second on-time when the key is first turned to "RUN" before starting.
