Quick-spool twins: anyone hang a SPS66 underneath the stocker?

Bully Dog Add Pressure?

Which mild Upgrade to start with?????

Just curious. I think that the SPS66 could be a great primary in some small twins, as it's a LOT more advanced than the dinosaur-like HT3Bs that many folks are running.

Personally, I think a stock HX35/12 and a SPS66 would make a WONDERFUL twins combination, because the SPS66 can push a lot of PR, has decent spoolup, and doesn't have a super restrictive hot side.

Anyone done this? I'd like to hear results.

I think that the SPS66 still has too small of an exhaust housing for a good charger in twins, unless you externally wastegate it. I think the nice thing about the H3TB is that it is cheap.

It just too small.

Try a S400 (BW AirWerks Part number 171701) It's very similar to the K31 everyone is going Koo Koo about, except for the fact that the turbine is a little large, and it comes with a 1. 32 A/R housing.

At a 2. 25:1 pressure ratio, it has almost equivelant air flow as the PS66 @ full tilt. This means much cooler air temps!!! Perfect for twins!!!

The dual-port 'gate on the SPS66 is insufficient??

when used in the situation you are looking at, it is EXTREMELY insufficient!!!

The turbine and housing would turn into a cork!!!!

A Garrett GT4088 - 703457 - 2 is "almost" a dead ringer for a PS66

Sounds perfect to me!

The idea of twins using the stock charger appeals to me, but I'm not an HT3B fan.

Oh, I found the P/N you posted for $483. 75 brand new-- good price??

no clue, never priced one

it would be insufficient in twins because you would be overboosting like crazy...

go with a cheaper and better turbo for your bottom turbo... the sps66 is the cat's backside as a single (or for a top turbo if you're pumpin' the big fuel like Mr. Fulmer! LOL!) but it was designed as such...

you can find a readily available big truck turbo that will work much better for less than half the $$$

Why are bigger turbos so cheap? Is it just market forces? More supply?

Witness the <$500 price quoted to me for the S400 above.
