2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Quick taillight/blinker question...

Another taillight/blinker question, confused....

Just the other day my driver side rear blinker went out. Found this out by noticing my blinker was blinking very rapidly faster than normal. So I am on the search for a new blub, but I have heard you have to replace the entire taillight assembly, is this true, or can I just get a blub to replace the blinker?

I guess that is gonna cost me about $20 from the dealer unless the local auto parts stores have the correct bulb in stock.

Open the tailgate,remove the screws,and pull the light straight out.

The sockets are on the back,1/4 turn to remove.

Local auto parts will have them. . I bought the package from Napa and did both sides at the same time.

I do that the same way I do the head lights. . if one goes out I replace both of them.

So, I didn't make it over to the auto parts store, had to work late, but I have another question about this.

I did a quick inspection and noticed that along with this driver side blinker out, my brake light is out and the brake light on top of the cab(I think there are two lights) the left one is out as well. The front driver side blinker still works, but what are the chances of the cab brake light, rear brake light and the blinker going out at the same time? I checked all the fuses and they were fine, I would think they would be since the other blinkers work as well, but could just the blinker going out cause the brake light out too? Are they the same bulb? What about the cab brake light?

Any suggestions guys?

The brake light and turn signal use the same filament in the bulb,it is "interrupted" when both are on at the same time. Don't know about the 3rd brake light ,coincidence maybe ?
