As some of you are aware I bought this truck over the internet and man I have had to do some work on her. Shocks, steering,#10 plate, 3KGS,gauges (pyro and boost), new carpet, new boots at intercooler, new front rotors and pads, new rear pads (drum), new handbrake cable, To make sure all was good I tabbed the KDP and installed new gaskets and seals as the old seal was leaking badly. To add the cherry on top I blew out the turbo doing 60 mph. Unfortunately I was still waiting for my gauges so I could not see what was going on. While awaiting the 16cm housing I decided to remove the intercooler and flush it out as there may have been metal pieces floating around. Heh Heh, I was lying on my creeper undoing the rubber boot that attaches to the intercooler and Bam... I got a face full of oil. The must of been 3 quarts in there. All is good and clean now. Both the truck and me. Heh Heh.

The moral of my story? ... ... ..... I don't care if you race, pull, drive normally or just sit in your truck looking cool... ... GET gauges!!!!!!!

Cheers Derek

I maybe mistaken, but I think you really dodged a bullet when you accidently found the 3 quarts of oil in the intercooler. When you fired it up it could have gone WOT to KABLOUIE

La Da Dee..... My Little Runaway... . Do Rae Me (Beach Boys ?)

Heh, Heh, Heh... . I had no idea that there would that much oil in there. Now,I was hoping to find pieces of the fan etc. , but they must have been in the oil. Talking of dodging a bullet... The KDP was sticking out by about a quater of an inch. I made sure that @!#@# was not coming out again.

Cheers Derek
