Quiet muffler to replace Banks?

I have a Banks turbo-back Monster Exhaust. Originally I liked the sound but I must be getting old, I'm yearning for a quiet exhaust.



What is the most quiet that I can install? I know there's the 51" Donaldson, but I don't think it's stainless. Will it not corrode due to dissimilar metals?

How does the MBRP compare?



I'm not sold on adding an Aeroturbine. I can't see how adding exhaust restriction could increase flow.

I just put an MBRP muffler on yesterday... . pretty quiet but you can hear a little roar if you get on it... it is stainless and high quality... .

whats the measurement on your banks exhaust? Is it stainless steel? Is it a straight threw exhaust? Would you like to sell just the exhaust itself. I have the aeroturbine in place of my cat and the MBRP exhaust, both aero and MBRP are straight threw, but am considering either adding a resonator or another straight threw exhaust just to quiet it down alittle. Let me know.

Look under your truck and see if you have enough room to cut out 25 inches or so of straight pipe, if you do then you could add one of the MBRP mufflers in tandem to the Banks muffler. Just swapping one muffler for another (unless it's one of the cheapo non packed mufflers anyway) will not net you enough extra noise reduction to make it worth your time. If you tanden them it will make a significant difference. If you don't have 25 inches we also have smaller ones that require 16 inches or so but longer is better where muffler's and sound reduction is concerned.
