I dont have an 03 but can you make them sound like my 01?? They seem a little quiet.

Answer to both is NO. I had one drive by me the other day, can't tell it was diesel.



Wife loves them though .

Your wife may love them as does mine but I have driven 22000 of the 22010 miles on MY truck and I like it LOUD

WHY?

It is nice to be able to stand nextto an idling truck and not have to shout to be heard. Plus the exhaust sounds really nice, even though muffled. I think you would really like the sound of an '03 with a 4-5" exhaust and little or no muffler. It would sound sweet, and be loud.

quiet is not so good. my wife is already saying she wants to save miles on her car for her daily commute and she wants to drive my truck twice a week to work and i will drive her car:--):-{} what in the h--l!? dodge please make the trucks loud again so my wife wont like it so much!!:-laf



ps. dont get the adjustable pedals as i did or your wife will steal your 2003 CTD too. #@$%!

I bought my wife a Durango so she'll leave my truck alone. And I like my quiet Cummins. I listened to my '95,'95, and '01. 5 long enough. The '03 sounds sweet! It's not wimpy sounding at all. Just quiet.

6spd wont deter her at all, she drove a four speed Karmenghia for years these trucks are easier to drive than that b/c of the torque... oh well. . i am really happy she likes it to tell you the truth... shhh, listen to the mighty cummins purr

Today I realized it ain't THAT quiet! I was going up a tall bridge over an intercoastal waterway today and rolled the right rear window down so I could hear the exhaust note against the concrete guard rail. Maybe my stock muffler is missing a baffle or three but it sounds great! I couldn't hear the exhaust note with my '95, '98, or my '01. 5 on the same bridge. I tried. This one will remain as is! Too much grinnin' will make your jaws sore!

Quiet may be nice, but it just doesn't seem to have that rattle and deep cackle . Besides! The Neighbors like to wake up when I go to work at 4am!
