I really recommend Donaldson. I have that from Stan's Headers, and the inside of the cab is quieter than stock. I have their full 4" turbo-back system. Outside is really nice too-kind of deep tone. It's long muffler- almost 4'. They are one of this site's sponsors. Ilian

I don't have mine on yet, but you should also take a look at the Rokk Technologies Silent Might muffler: http://www.rokktech.com/_mgxroot/page_10437.html

It's built like a 4" muffler delete pipe sleeved in an 9" acoustic cancellation chamber. The chamber is 41" long, and the overall muffler length is 4'. There are 4 connect holes between the straight pipe and the acoustic chamber. They claim less restriction than a straight pipe between 1600-2800 rpm. Given that it is basically a straight pipe, I've got no reason to doubt them. It's specifically claimed to have less backpressure than a Donaldson. It has a nice, heavy duty feel to the construction.

The Donaldson may be a little bit quieter, but this one's supposed to be close to stock in the sound department. They've got sound measurements and wave files on the site for you to listen to.

Rokk

Well guys, Just wanted to put my two cents in. I have a Slient Might from ROKK and so far pretty good results, appx 1-2. 5 miles a gal increase. about 2500 miles on the muffler.

My on comment on ROKK< good muffler NO CUSTOMER SERV / SUPPORT for the advance idler ... ...

I am REALLY REALLY dissappointed in ROKK ,,, the only way you can contact them is via email. If they decide to respond !!! ! ! ! !

They took 4 days and 4 emails to finally call me after I got hot on the last email. .

their rep called but offered no really reason for being lax in responding to a problem that I ha ve with the advance idler unit.

It is a really good thing I was able to get my truck back on the road, cause ROKK showed they do not care about after the sale support. by takin so long in responding. .

I had my truck in shop and was changing out the adv idler unit, found the unit they sent was different than the unit in my truck... No i have to stop again and take unit out take pics, email the pics to rokk and again WAIT till they decide to get back to me... .

Yes they did offer to refund my money BUT I WANTED TO

AT LEAST TRY THE UNIT>>>>>>

Than ks ROOK (Opps ROKK) But you are not wanting to be in business very badly... NO SUPPORT AFTER THE SALE>

I would have gone out of business and starved YEARS ago if i operated like you do ROKK... .

Went to the website and looks like the Silent Might are out of stock! Others must have these 4" on-- how do you like them? Better milage, quiet?? Thanks in advance.
