quieting engine compartment with thermal wrap?

Has anyone tried/heard of the success in quieting the engine compartment with the thermal wrap product? I see there is a supplier that pops up on this site. thanks james

Absolutely! I wrapped the the exhaust pipe from just out of the turbo down to the transmission, it helped quite a bit. Reduced in cab noise. I believe I used the 10ft. piece, kind of pain to wrap it. Just my opinion.

the quietest diesels ever produced, I fail to understand that a 3rd gen is too loud

for you. I'll put you in my cat grader or deutz diesel pwered ditch witch for 10 min.

you could use a product like Dynamat on the underside of the hood, or on the firewall. these motors are pretty quiet, I agree, but every little bit helps

I've been thinking about trying some of the ATP stuff on my truck as well. I'm curious if any third gen owners have done it yet, and what they think of the difference.



My truck makes to much noise in my opinion. Of course, it's not as bad as the 02 I had before this one , but there is room for improvement.
