2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission R&R foglight bulbs

One of my foglight bulb is toast, is there a brighter replacement availible? Has anyone done this?

Careful with higher wattage bulbs as the factory lenses are plastic and will distort with the added heat from higher wattage bulbs. Idealy a few members have replaced the oem lights with hella 510's?? those are glass and can withstand the heat output of 90 watt bulbs.

The original bulbs are 33 watts. You probably could get by with 55's, but I would be afraid to go hotter than that.

The bulb number is listed as 896 in thye FSM, I've been searching for a hotter replacement. I can find them for 893, but no 896.

Before the thread dies, what is the source and part number for higher wattage bulb to replace the factory ones with?

not really interested in hiogher output but wqould like to find replacement bulbs in amber anybody out there know where I can find them?

I did a search on Ebay.



Turns hout a company www.eurodezigns.com has the high out replacements. $10 got me a pair of brighter, whiter lights.
