"Race" AFE filter??

I'm curious. But if this donaldson setup works like I hope it will, then "I don't need no stinking AFE"

the standard Stage1 says 25hp over stock, the RACE version says 24hp over stock... . am i missing something?

Only 24hp over stock vs 25hp over stock for standard version, hhhmmmm... BUT ITS LOUD!

The "Race" version uses the stage 2 filter which has like a 6" opening on a stage1 type heat shield.

My Powercore setup will have a 6" outlet-- that's what you need for 1000 cfm

Hohn, I'm watching this with anticipation! Any fab work needed for this? Obviously you gotta go from 6" to 4" at the turbo, but are you using stacked adapters or making something?

maybe i just need less caffeine in the morning...

I'm going to have to wait until the actual filter gets here before I can give more specifics.



I'm probably going to run a 6"-5" at the filter, use 5" piping/ducting, then run a 5"-4" reducer at the charger inlet. 4" ducting is too restrictive for a filter like this... .
