raced a 6.0 auto this morning

Batteries discharge on INT DT466

well there i was driving to work half asleep when i see a white psd 6. 0 fly by me. well down went the coffee as did the go pedal and i caught up to him he kept on waving me up. pull up to a stop light and we both nailed it. i started to pull ahead and my transmission screwed up on a shift ( that is another issue i am goignto check out tonight, it hung up between gears) so i let off then nailed it again and by then he was pulling away got into third and then od lockup and i started to gain on him but i looked down and i had to let off i was at 3500 rpm's and 1600 degrees on the pyro, so that was it for me. i wasnt to happy but there wasnt much i could do, just need to drop in a set of injectors and forget about it. but the first thing is my 5" exhaust goign on sat morning. also drove a 03 cummins auto, wasnt in pressed at all with that auto, still a slushbox. then drove an 03 6. 0 auto and manual, that engine is snappy in the higher rpms, what surpreise me was the 4250 rpm redline on both and that new auto by ford is nice, maybe someday dodge will catch up with the crowd.
 
My brother has 2 6. 0PSD's at work,both king ranch F250 crew cab 4x4's. . One of them runs good(white one),and is quick,the other one(black)flat out hauls butt. He drives my Hp cummins,so he knows how they can run,and for a stock truck its amazing. He raced a late model Pontiac grand prix GTP light to light with it last week,and only got beat my 1/2 a truck lenth,with 4 big guys in the truck:D .
 
With fork tubes and freshly powdercoated frames in the bed slammin' the tailgate :D



I can't wait to get my Boost on with this geeky lil punk that lives somewhere nearby with a black f 350 six point Oh. He chopped the muff and granted it sounds great but Cut the crap in front of my house ... ... he comes sneaking up on me when I am in the yard and gives me the whats up nod and dead pedals it to the stop sign ... . OOOOooohhhh On the street pal someday. #ad
 
The 6. 0 has got a LONG way to go in depedability to impress me. There is too many guys complaining of NO power under 1800 rpms. When did diesels become more like GASSERS:mad: . I'll keep my old tech Cummins that can work when I want it to,and can play pretty good too:rolleyes: ... Doug
 
Friend of mine just bought a 03 6. 0 4 door 6 spd. He raced my other friends 94 CTD 5 spd with a #5 Tst. They ran the 1/4 3 times and all three times the 6. 0 beat the CTD by 2 1/2 truck lengths.



The first 1/8th mile the CTD had him by about 3 lengths, then that 6. 0 hits some rps and flys by. I'm no ford fan but that SOB runs good.

I'll pull out in front of him , you smash him in the rear & shove his DROF/FORD into the fead wheels



I wonder if the machine will know the diff. between oak or DROF/FORD Oo.
