Competition Raced a chubby!

Had a nice run-in with a Chevy 2500 4x4 reg. cab longbed tonight. Not a d-max, but probably an 8. 0L V-8 looking @ the big exhaust.



I turned right and he was turning left onto the same street. He pulled up next to me and then nailed it. I was in the middle of 3rd, let her rip and then shifted into 4th and ran it out. I was slowly pulling away from him until I gave up @ 60 when I didn't want to speed anymore. (I was in a 40 zone. ) I think he was mad a bigger, heavier. louder, stinkier truck was hangin' tough... . Still wish I had some DDII's though.

chubby blown up

well i did not race a chuby today but i did throw one on my 20ft goosneck car hauler with a blown engine. so lets see that makes,

raced a V-10

I drag raced a dodge V-10 gasser that had been supercharged! I went thru every gear in my six spd, the only time he pulled away was when I shifted but I made the gap up until the next shift. I'm pretty proud that My stinkin' diesel kept up with a supercharged gasser!

I too finally got to race a D-Max a couple of days ago. I was entering on to the freeway with a brand new shiny black d-max duelly on my tail. I hit it and accellerated to about 70 mph then let off in the slow lane. Then I let him catch up and he pulled by me with a smile. I pulled in behind him and stuck on his tail to about 90mph. At this piont i started letting off on the throttle and let him pull away from me (about 7-8 truck lengths). He was then at 100mph and he thought he had me bad. I figured at 100mph, He's probably on his governor by now. Thats when the fun began and I decided to bury my pyro. for 10 seconds and show him what a real diesel can do. I stepped on it and blew by him at just over 120mph. He looked a little shocked for a guy with the most powerful diesel on the planet. Gotta love those Piers governor kits.

AZ,are you stock?,I love a good drag race story,nice work! Gary,you musta made him wonder what the heck was going on,poor guy is probably at the dealer as we speak,with a low power complaint,LOL!I bet he's a little more careful about picking on our little 6 cylinders.

I have an EZ with the elbow. that's it. I didn't even get to race a d-max either. It was a gasser!
