How many people are interested in attending the race in San Antonio on Mar. 29th.
The latest information I've got is this.
It will be a bracket event so everyone has a fair shot.
We are debating on having an unlimited class for exhibition, but that depends on who all shows up.
Rumor has it that my buddy Cord (aka cumminsgetme) is going to bring his silver rocket all the way from Vegas for this event. I've personally seen this truck run 12. 3's it's first time out at the track with MAJOR traction problems. That should be fun to watch. I remember seeing Cord feathering the throttle like John Force on a wet track and still spinning 17" slicks to half track.
For now they are planning on running a . 4 pro tree. This time we are going to have a manual starter. At the last race, they used the autostart and that put the stick drivers at a severe disadvantage. There just wasn't enough time to get the truck staged and stopped and back on the go pedal before the tree came down. That problem should be eliminated this time 'round.
Personally, I'm all for the true sportsman tree because it's more fair to the first time racer. But that will be up to the majority on race day.
Entry fee is only $30. That's cheap considering general admission is $20.
Payout is going to be $250, $100, $30, $30.
Not much, but none of us are in it for the money.
ESPN2 will be there, so who knows if you do something impressive enough, you might get your 15 minutes of fame.

Maybe Andrew can convince some of his Ford brothers to come play.
We should have a great time, weather permitting.
