I just got back from racing in Ashcroft, BC (Eagle Motorplex) where the Kondolays were also racing. Spending time with them at the track is eye-opening in many ways, including seeing not only how good Stefan and Bill are on the track, but how much they help other racers and how well respected they are in the racing community.
As always, Stefan and Bill gave me invaluable advice, and I implemented a new staging technique this weekend due to their advice, to help me with my R/T's (which have been less than consistent).
This worked very well for me, but unfortunately I FUBAR'd it in my crucial first round of elim's today...
I will be practicing this week with any luck.
Interesting net results: I've gone back to my H2E because my USB didn't want to stay in the game; good thing nobody wanted to buy the "outdated technology" of the H2E!!
Saturday I ran 13. 07, 13. 04, at 101+mph. My R/T's stayed in a pretty good range. I ran the "Gamblers" (brackets for money), but was put out by a Kondolay student who has run Prostreet (? ) very well for years.
Today I TT'd a 13. 03 and dialed it, but after FUBARing my light, I fendered the guy, and broke out at 12. 99 on the brakes!!
Bill and Stefan had both gone into the Semi's yesterday, but I left after my losing run today, so hopefully they'll post how they did.
Bill, Shanti and Stefan, thank you so much for all of your help and support; I wouldn't be in it without you!
I didn't realize how much I missed not racing at Mission until I got the chance to hang out with you guys again...
