Radiator started leaking out of the drivers side corner. Read some archived posts and then purchased a new radiator from Dodge and have it sitting in my computer room. I also purchased a rebuild kit for the vacuum pump and it is sitting on my computer desk. I have the standard Cummins oil mess on the front of the engine and the original bottle is still on the truck, it will go. Plan on cleaning up the mess as well as possible and installing the PVC line across the block.
Anything else I should do while I am in there? I will probably change both radiator hoses although the top looks fairly new. I am going to change the belt unless it looks very new.
Any way to check the water pump for problems? If I pull the belt and it is not sloppy, is it ok? Or do I change it only because it is easy to get to? The truck has about 190,000 but it could have been changed in the past for all I know.
Are the power steering pumps pretty durable? It is not making noise that I can hear, but who could hear it anyway with all that other noise
Thanks.. Gary

Water pump is an easy change if it ever goes out so I wouldn’t worry about it and the power steering pump should be fine
