I'll second the cardboard trick... Only I decided to take the more expensive route by using a piece of Luan Plywood. #ad

Got my tdr today in the mail and looking through the geno's insert noticed the ac fin protector. Got me thinking would this double as a cover for winter???? Your thoughts guys that have this.

I used some of the thin foam insulation board that is available from Lowes, Home Depot, ext. It works great and water doesn't bother it like with the cardboard.

Geno's fin guard is for the evaporator core only. Handy when leaning and a crawling over the upper radiator support.

Not to mention it is gravity secured as is, and could slide off in operation.

gooded, just be careful with the foam, some types of insulation board can't take the kind of heat encountered under our hoods, hate to see it melt all over your radiator. You are better off sending me the $20 for the cardboard. #ad
