Drained my radiator on a 2006. Trying to close the drain cock, it will not close. How to correct?

I found some reference to the problem on the forum. Also found a reference to Issue # 71 page 40 that addresses the problem. Will try to remove the drain cock at this time.

Removed the drain cock. Appears to have some damage, possible from removal. O-ring looks good. Looking at Issue 71 page 40, the one I removed looks different. Will try to find a replacement, then a method to install.
If any information on how to install, would be appreciated.

All is well. NAPA auto parts stocks this part 6051372 for Chrysler products , price $5.95. I lube it with silicon, inserted and rotated until it aligned with fixed part in radiator. Applied slight pressure while turning. It went right in.
This ASSY. had been removed about one year ago. My input to anyone with an older truck having plans to drain the radiator have a spare drain cock on hand.

Good advice, can never have enough spare parts
