radiator hose question

changed out the coolant today, and when I removed the top radiator hose I noticed a white colored grease or whatever used where the hose connects to the radiator neck. Is it a lithium grease? should I put some more on in the future.

Sometimes there is some build up from the coolant on the inside of the radiator hoses. I recomend clean and dry application of the hoses. Chris
