Well my '98 12v radiator started leaking bad Thursday morning when I went to work. Turns out it was cracking on the drivers side about half way down in the brass end opposite the crimp fingers that hold the tank on. My uncle has the same truck and his is leaking in about the same place. I replaced it with a good 4 core aftermarket brass/copper from J-Mac Radiator in SLC for $265. I sure wasn't expecting to be throwing a radiator at this truck so soon. Looks like a weakness. Must be the vibration of the Cummins or something. I could have gone with aluminum and maybe had a stronger radiator for the same price but I like the better cooling of copper in this hot country I'm in. - Mark -

Mine did the same thing, same side and same area. I was sure it was going to be a goat rodeo getting the thing out, but did it all in about 1. 5 hours solo. What's with plastic on a radiator... ... . ?

Mine is leaking just above the petcock valve. 155,000 miles. Putting a new one in tomorrow(in the rain:{ ) , brass and aluminum with lifetime warranty, $379.
