My 96' has got a leak on the drivers side radiator tank , looks like maybe the seam between the tank and the core. How long should these things last ?(seems this one had a short life) Also what is the best fix? , what is the approx. cost of a new one?

I'm afraid to say how much a new radiator will run, but a guess is well over $500. A good radiator shop can repair most any damage you can bring them for much less.

Sorry to say , it's got a whoppin' 43,xxx mi. on it . But here is the best part, I went out to check on it tonight and the puddle was gone, and the radiator was starting to dry. The only thing that was done lately was the anti-freeze was checked , by me , but the filler was on the other side. I'll keep ya' posted.

Take it to a radiator shop and have it pressure-tested. You should be able to hold 18 psi in the entire coolant system with no leakage. The leak may only show itself when the system is hot and pressurized.
