Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Radiator petcock...CW or CCW

Which way does the petcock turn to open? Mine seems to be very tight and i'm not sure if i'm trying to turn it the right way...

On mine as of yesterday turn CCW to open I had to use a pair of needle nose vise grip as it's hard to hold. Turn like a half turn and pull outward slightly. A small piece of hose slipped over the nipple keeps the mess down.

i pulled mine out and put some grease on it... .
