For those of you who have Bombed their engines have you had any rad problems? Cooling , leaking etc? I want to use a 2nd gen rad in my crew cab and was wondering if a new stock one from Dodge would be sufficient? The factory replacement fits 94-02. I really don't like plastic tanks. The one in my 97 parts truck is leaking there already so I need to do something. Of course a custom one will be twice the price of a Dodge one. Your thoughts and comments please. Shadrach

Look up a thread called Griffin Radiators. Custom built. If I had the $$ I would buy one. Its on my wish list. Check it out.

Good Luck

Mike

i would have bought a griffen radiator for my second gen. but went with a aftermarket from parts store due to break down (works fine). my cr dodge has the stock one and has ben fine for coolant temps even towing a 26k trailer, and this truck is way bombed.

Thanks guys, I called Radiators.com. The price is cheap but they only have stock replacements. I have also contacted Griffin to see what they say. Shadrach

I would buy a Griffin if I had the money also. I have replaced mine twice. The first replacement had to be warrantied. Mine will get hot towing heavy on long hills. Its hard for a radiator to keep up when you are running high boost and pumping all that heat right into the radiator. I'm not running crazy but 30 psi is well over stock.
