I tried to drain the coolant out of my radiator to change it, the plastic petcock won't open. Tried to pull off the lower radiator hose, no luck it's stuck. Is anyone having trouble with their aluminum rad's? I just don't like plastic and aluminum radiators. Does anyone make a copper retro fit for these trucks? The truck has 123,000 miles on it, probably more than enough for the aluminum. anyone?

The plastic petcock on the radiator is a PIA. Turn the petcock counterclockwise a few turns, the take a pair of pliers and gently pull out on the petcock. Fluid should drain out. Petcock only screws in 1/8" to seal it but it must be pulled out about 3/4"to drain. :D

DOH! The ATA hose clamp is in the way and I only turned it a half turn. I had the same type on my dakota, lasted 1 year, then broke so I didn't want to break this one. thanks.
