OK guys, I read the two core support threads from the end of last year, but came away without a good answer to my question. I'm sticking with a 93 grill. Will a 91. 5-93 core support hold a stock first gen radiator? This is what I want to know. If the first gen diesel radiator will fit in a gasser core support, then I'll cut all the holes.

I've just aquired a 2nd gen aftercooler. I'd like to have a core support to work with and get the fab work all done without tearing apart my truck. I'm also hoping to not hack up my original core support. What do the body gurus say?

NO I don't believe it will. If you want to use the 91. 5-93 grille then you will need a diesel rad support from the same year. Or find a damaged one and modify yours by adding the support tabs and trimming down yours. Just look at one and you will see what I mean. Shadrach

The main shells are the same, but the diesel trucks uses different mounting tabs and brackets that are welded on than the gas trucks.

Ok, tabs for the radiator, or the tabs for the aftercooler? If the first gen radiator will go in "easily", then I'm ok with making the mounting tabs/brackets for the aftercooler and a/c condensor. I wish there was a gas truck setting here for me to look at, but alas there is not. Thanks for all your help.

I've got a 92 gas truck core supprot I can try and take pictures of tomorrow, so you can compare for yourself. As far as tabs, I know the radiator ones are different, and it won't even have the ones for the intercooler.

Just shoot right on down here with those axles and the whole front of a 93 (cummins type) can go back with you, no charge. And swing through OKALA HOMA and pick up one of those fillies. That would be most welcomed as well.

:-laf LOL, I only had to read that three times before I remembered the OKLA HOMA... ... The current axle holder recieved payment yesterday. I was just getting ready to send you an email. I see you got the one from OKLA HOMA.

For the record, I'm trying not to cut up an original diesel one if possible. Seems that they are a little hard to come by, but I guess in reality so are 93 gasser ones too.
