Need help, I went to the post-office a week ago and left the truck running while I checked my mail, A/C and Radio on and working, came out and A/C and radio sw still on but A/C not working, radio and clock display not working. Drove to hardware store and turned all power off, shopped came back out started truck and A/C,radio and display came back on, drove home no problem with accessories. Next day started truck, radio and display not working, drove into town radio and display came on while driving, reached destination and turned engine off and noticed when I operated IGN SW on-off in both IGN or ACC the speakers would give a loud popping noise but no radio operation.

I originally thought may be the IGN SW was going bad, but after driving truck for a week I have had no problem with A/C since original but radio finally went out (not working at all) so checked all connections power and speaker and found no problem with power or ground going to radio, but still no clock display or radio.

Has anyone else had this problem and found cause? Is radio finally shot or can repair? Thanks for any help:confused:

Did you check all of your fuses?

Take them out and test them for continuity. In my experience, a visual inspection has failed many times in the past... .

Matt, Checked all fuse's and wire to radio and found every thing to be fine, (power to radio power connector at point of entry ok).

but still radio dead and no clock display.

Is the A/C still dead?

How about the horn and the other stuff?

Did you check the fuses under the hood?

Any burned out relays? - pretty easy to spot those.

It might be time to find a wiring diagram... .

Matt

Matt, I have checked everything, I have not had any further problem with the A/C since that day. I have been checking the wiring diagrams and have not come up with any cause. I have a strong felling that the radio went south. I purchased a new radio today and will try to install it tomorrow, Dodge wanted $411. 00 for a new radio so needless to say I went else where and bought a SONY. I am lost with out a radio to drowned out the noise of the engine, not. Will post result.

Bill

Well I installed new radio today (Thurs) and everything is working fine again, so if anyone wants to buy an anchor (Radio)that does not work I have one for sale 1/2 the price of a new one. :--)
