518 transmission advise needed.

Wife has a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan and only came with a AM/FM/Tape player (no CD). How difficult it is to remove the existing radio and install either a factory radio with CD (bought off of ebay) or an aftermarket one? I am not going for a fancy sound system and I am happy with the sound of the current system. I just want to be able to play CD's.

Thanks

Phil

Dont know if this helps ya, but I just installed a Pioneer Supertuner III in my wifes Explorer. My goals were the same as yours, and I was never a fan of aftermarket radios. Either the reception was not as good, or the aesthetics looked "cheap", or the install was a pia. But this all went well, and with the new (Pioneer) speakers it sounds pretty good. Good Luck-

I've got an 01 town and country with the same radio... its an easy swap. Just get the adapter face plate and the wiring harness from just about any car stereo place.

Gonzo is right it takes about ten minutes to swap a stock one in. If you want one PM me and let me know what ya want to spend i have one out of my wifes 04.

How is the radio installed? How do I remove the old one. Never really took a radio out before and I am not sure how to unhook the old one from where it is.

Thanks
