The lights behind preset buttons 2-5 have stopped working in my '07 with the factory single CD/Sirius radio. #'s 1 and 6 still light. I though I read a thead somewhere here on TDR on if and/or how those bulbs can be replaced. But, for the life of me, I can't find that thread using the search feature. Does anyone recall where that info was posted and if so, do you have a link to that information?

Thanks in advance.

That might have been me, I asked about the same thing a few years back. I have lost illumination in that area on my radio and can't find a fix.

I took the radio out and removed the face of it, but those bulbs appeared to be soldered to a circuit board. Now I wonder if I should have tried to remove them as there is a thread going where the gentleman has an '01 radio and he is hot on the trail of the correct bulb. His bulbs would pull out.

I will link his thread here for you... .

Mike. :)

Thanks Mike. I was sure that someone else was talking about this at some point. I'll let you know what I find out when I decide to get into it.

The dash of my truck was torn apart at the dealer twice in the last week. Once to replace broken blend doors and then a second time to replace an actuator. It's most likely coincidence that these lights are out now, but I'm interested to see what I find.

I'll follow this closely and see what you find as it drives me nuts after dark to see the dark strip at the bottom of the radio.

I always keep up with lights by changing bulbs as they burn out and it frustrates me to no end not to be able to fix these radio lights.

You sound like me, I hate to see stuff like that. My brother-in-law is amazing with electronics. I'll most likely pull the radio at some point and let him give me a hand with it.

Probably not going to dive in to it this week. This 100 degree weather stuff doesn't exactly give me much motivation to do anything I don't have to.
