Lizzy, I had the same problem a month ago. It was an easy fix. I no longer leave my keys in the ignition for the kid to listen to the radio while I run into the store or while fueling up.
You're gonna love this. The radio is on the bus, this means it's tied into the computers on your truck. If you have keyless entry and two or more transmitters here's what's happening. One transmitter is programmed into the master position, radio presets are stored for this transmitter, all other transmitters share another set of presets. If you use both transmitters the presets will swap back and forth. On passenger cars with memory seat position even the seat position will be differnt for each transmitter. Try unlocking the doors with both transmitters and see if I'm right.
I guess I better try my radio... Have not really used it since I got the truck... But, it seems I still have some music playing in the backround all the time!!! Oo.
Must be that 6 piece band playing under the hood !
and tommorrow, I'll check the batteries, but I would assume (knowing what that means) that if there is enough juice to crank the Cummins there would be more than enough for the memory chip...
keep ther ideas flowing, we're all stumped out here in the desert.
hey, what about a gate or garage door opener interfering ?
You may know this already, but I found that the presets carry FM 1 and FM 2 so each button carries two stations. So, when I pushed again it went back to my original preset. Good luck!
