It time to replace the OEM radio/CD player. The buttons, which have been intermittent for years, are now not working most of the time.

What is the size of the radio in a 1995? Replacement radios come in DIN size 1, 1 1/2, and 2. Also, any suggestions on a replacement AM/FM/CD... just some low end basic system that will plug in to existing wiring will do.

Go to Crutchfield and get your radio needs. I got mine there with an IPod cable and the help department is as good as Southbend clutchs for helpfulness. A really first class organization. I got the alpine with ipod adapter. Perfect fit with perfect connections.

Whatever you decide to buy, make sure it has an auxiliary input jack for connecting various devices (MP3 players, satelitte radio receivers, etc). This will help to "future-proof" your purchase.

Here is the Sony receiver that I just put in my '98. Not only does it have a front panel aux input jack, but also has a USB jack so I can plug in my USB flash drive and play MP3's directly. Works great!!! Crutchfield is the way to go as you get everything you need to install the stereo (DIN plates, wiring harness, etc) and usually free shipping as well.

Landshark,

Not sure if you got an answer yet but I think yours should be a DIN 1. 5 size.

The only DIN1. 5 sizes I found were a Pioneer DEH. I was only able to find them for over $200 new and most places had them for around $250 new. I'm sure it would look sweet but it was a little more than I wanted to spend.

I ended up with a new JVC HD radio for just under $200 but I really like the HD radio.

Just make sure you get a wire harness for your specific truck just like the other guys have suggested.

Good luck.
