Hello. .

lately i've noticed the AM channel's that i listen to{talk} has alot of static, real bad when i drive down streets with overhead power lines, but today i'v noticed that when the wife opened the cover on the mirror on the sunvisor that the static got a little worse just for an instance, so i had her open/close the cover and it did it everytime, also when i use the turning signal switch i hear blinking in the radio, so i'm thinking it's the grounding points, i've notice just lifting the hood i see 4 grounds that i'm going to take apart and shine with steel wool, anybody have any other good suggestion on this, please tell me ... ... ... ... .....

thanks in advance...

Does the static happen when you are tuned to FM? Has the radio been changed out? Have you or a previous owner done any electrical work under the dash? Could be a bad or no noise reducer. Could be bad connection on the speakers. Could be a faulty radio. Could be a number of things. Good luck.

Hi Grizzly...

FM is fine, this started several months ago, before any work under the dash {dtt}so i started to clean the grounds in the engine compartment, but the pesky rain here in the sf bay area started again.....

nothing done to radio...

thanks
