Having problem Audio System {RADIO }, checked fuse good, took radio out and checked wire connectors, cleaned the connectors up and, { ground } check the wires with a tester getting power. I'll be going down the road and the radio start playing. The time on the radio will be the wrong to, if you set the time it never changes. Went I get out of the truck and come back radio is dead and no time on it. :confused:

{ Maybe it's time for a new radio, looking a good price and where ? }

P. S. , Did Chrysler have a RECALL on this to ? :confused:

I think the ones that are made to fit the hole (1 1/2 DIN) look best. Sure they cost a little more, and lower your choice of radios, but they sure look better then a $5. 00 adaptor on a $300. 00 radio!

You probably checked it. . but there are more then one power source for the radio. The ignition power runs through the fuse. THere is also a permanent power for things like the clock and aux. power outlet. Might check for that also.

====== checked all of the fuses. As for the clock, the clock comes on but the time never changes, that's when the radio comes on. you can reset the clock but the time is freeze on it. I also check the power to the power outlet, and cigar lighter got power.

I do not know what year your truck is but, my first radio went bad after about 3,000 miles, something about the power sourse went sour. At 40,000 went bad again. I replaced with a after market 1 1/2 din size with a changer under the seat. I am much happier. Next truck I will order with the lowest end stereo possibe and replace with an aftermarket. Much cheaper I believe i paid and extra 600 orginally for a stereo which was 1/2 the quality of the aftermarket equipment
