FM for us....only those OLD guys listen to AM....

WMMS in Cleveland made FM popular. Home of the Buzzard, Murray 'The Get-Down Man' Saul. When Mick Jagger would fly to Cleveland just to do an interview with Matt The Cat.....

And they'd get warning letters from the FCC all the time about playing songs referencing dope. The FCC said it made youngsters use it. They'd read them on the air and have laughing fits doing it. Their rebuttal was. "So if I play a McDonald's commercial, that's gonna make you fat?" Fair point.

I left there shortly afterwards. I saw the downfall of Industrial America coming. Moved to Florida and haven't looked back.

I've also about given up on Sirius.

The Golden Age of satellite radio is over. Crushed when the FCC allowed them to break their rule and merge. Now it's wasted duplicate channels from XM on Sirius instead of the separate similar channels. XM and Sirius sounded different from the selections of songs: Sirius being more top 40 for example. The sound quality is mostly awful anymore. The selection of songs is turning to mush pop even on the specific genre channels.

The RIAA has had a lot to do with removing excitement from the satellite radio with ways to charge more money.

Play a CD and the sound quality on a good system explains why they can't hardly give the XM service away anymore.

Now wait just one minute...you are stepping on my metacarpus there...;):p Other than that, I agree.

You know age is a factor when a band that broke into the Top 40 in your High School years ...

Riding in the pickup with dad listening to FM a classic rock station. The breakout song from said band comes on the classic rock station. Dad says something like isn't that the band you listened too all the time? o_O and it's on the CLASSIC ROCK Station!

I prefer Spotify over Pandora... Spotify does a good job and sounds better streaming from my phone than the built in SiriusXM. Honestly.... The 12" nav Harmon Kardon premium sound could be much better (It does not sound that great at all).

I also have the Harmon Kardon Premium sound system and 12''nav. I noticed the sound quality (thin, tinny) wasn't great as far as listening to Sirius XM. But I also have the factory CD player and this and the Thumb Drive provides high quality sound and tone from my system. I listen to a lot of music. Dont use the FM much but i do know the AM sounds good as far as talk radio goes.

Well the dealer after contacting support found resistance in the antenna coax. They replaced the factory antenna and coax. No change a.m. and FM still dead. They ordered a new radio and said it would be delivered in about five days. During those days of waiting sometimes the a.m. and FM would come back and then go away again. This past Monday they replaced the radio. Everything has worked OK since then.

See, the antenna as the problem.

"ordered a new radio"
By new, you mean refurb....they don't give you a NEW radio under warranty. Not that there is anything wrong with that...I guess it's OK.
