Hey Guys,

I'm wanting to install a rail pressure guage.

And I want to add a fuel pressure gauge in my FASS system to see whats going on with fuel pressure.

My question is, What is the best way to hook up the rail pressure gauge? I already have auto meter round gauage so I kinda want to stay with that sytle gauge.

Thanks for you help!

I run the quadzilla rail pressure guage and a dipricol lift pump pressure guage, the quad was supposed to do both but it has a high failure rate on the lift pump side

ya i have the Pricol as well. love it. not sure how to read it most of the time... ... ... but hey, its a needle and it moves when i hit the skinny pedel!

SPA also has a rail pressure gauge available for the 3rd gen trucks. I have been running one for 2+ years now

I've had the pricol gauge for 2+ years and lately feeling that its not as accurate has it should be I've seen it at 30,000 psi and thought that the pressure relief should have opened at 28,000psi. I thought that I may try a different set of gauges but currently have 5 different pricol gauges boost, egt, fuel psi, trans temp,& rail psi. The low fuel psi gauge stopped working quite awhile ago and the sender is almost as much as a new gauge. and now that this one seems to be acting up I just think there may be a durablity issue.

ISSPRO has one, in both their Performax line and EV2 line.

Probably the easiest gauge install out there, other than maybe a boost gauge. You unhook the factory sensor connector, plug the gauge harness inbetween the factory connections, and thats more or less it.

On a side note, but certainly related. It is very possible to hook it up backwards. I did. Dont do this. You should here an audible click. If not, take it apart and turn it around. Mine was backwards, and when I went to start it, I noticed my Water In Fuel light was on. Uh oh. I had jut filled up. Crap. It didnt want to start, but did, and was noticeably down in power (from tapping the pedal with my hand. )

Pulled out the Smarty and checked my codes, all 8 of them. One was Camshaft Position, another was overboost, cant remember them all. But none were remotely related to what I had touched. I couldnt clear all of them, was getting real mad after a half hour freaking out. Then I stopped and thought about it. Realized I hadnt heard the click, turned it around cleared codes, all was good. Atleast for 5 minutes, at which time I blew my trans... Just an FYI

The HPRV should start to open about 26k but it varies from valve to valve and is dependent on how many cycles it has had. Also, the rail pressure sensor is only good to 27k + or - 500 psi. Your gauge; though it reads to 30k the sensor does not.

Out of Stock

FYI - As of today 4/22/09, it seems as though the DiPricol branded Fuel Rail Pressure gauges ore OUT OF STOCK. It is rumored that DiPricol may or may not be going out of business. The vendors I spoke to indicated they have many gauges on "back order" and only sporadically receive 1 or 2 gauges to fill their order. In lieu of the DiPricol brand I was pointed to buy the ISSPRO EV2 gauge. I was informed this gauge is not only more accurate, but built in the US. I have both the Rail Pressure and Fuel Pressure (i. e. Lift Pump Pressure) on order along with an overhead dual gauge pod. Can't wait Oo. !!

Yes some of their gauges are on back order, but I'm curious where you heard they might be going outa business. This is the first I have ever heard this. I just talked to them 2 weeks ago and nothing they said led me to that conclusion.

And I have a Pricol RP gauge and I love it. But yes your not going to find a gauge that matches the autometer. If I was you I'd look into the Quadzilla one if you don't want a mismatched gauge.

The friendly guy at Genos helped me figure out what I needed for my fuel pres. gauge.
They seem to have all the fittings for everything they sell. They also know the
different product lines as well as anybody. They haven't steered me wrong yet.
ISSPRO matched the rest of the gauges on my '07.
